Are you ready to learn more about sacred sound and healing? Sonadora is workshop series centered on shamanic sound and the exploration of its mysteries. Sacred shamanic sound is an ancient science of healing and consciousness that has been an integral part of traditions and cultures all over the world for thousands of years. 

In each workshop, we will focus on various exercises to learn more about sound healing through intention setting, listening, giving, receiving and developing our intuition in relation to sound.  Throughout the series, we will weave together a diverse array of sound healing techniques, instruments, practices, and disciplines to awaken our connection, and special guest teachers.  We will focus on opening the voice through vocal exercises, sacred mantras, indigenous songs and chants and creating sacred sound to awaken to the inner voice and intuitive energies.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own sound healing instruments to work with to begin to develop a deeper relationship with your instrument and learn how to work with it.  Although it is recommended it is not necessary: there will be instruments available for participants to work with. 

There will be a sound meditation at the end of each class.

Brooke Flying Bear

Brooke has been working with sound her entire life. She is actively involved with the Golden Drum, a cultural community center in Brooklyn, a member of the Universal Initiatic College, and a student of Maestro Manuel Rufino, learning the traditional Native American healing ways, including sound healing and sacred wisdom traditions from around the Earth. 

Brooke has also had the blessing to study with Grammy Award-winning, master sound healer, composer, musician and instrument maker Tito La Rosa from Peru for the last few years in New York and Poland. In 2016, at the Heart & Mind Festivals in Poland, Brooke had the blessing to accompany Tito La Rosa during one of his public sound healing concerts.

Brooke is a sound alchemist, visionary sound healer, composer, songwriter and song carrier of sacred songs from all over the world including Native American songs from South, Central, and North America, Tibetan and Sanskrit mantra, African songs and more. Brooke is a founder of Dream Seed, the shamanic sound journey collective.  She believes in sound and music as universal methods of healing that embrace a language of universal peace.
