  • Golden Drum 97 Green St. G1 Brooklyn, NY, 11222 Unites States of America (map)

Join Zezinho Yube Huni Kuin for a hapé ceremony at Golden Drum. In addition to sharing hapé, an ancient medicinal plant blend from the Amazon, Yube will share traditional music and knowledge.

More about hapé (pronounced “ha-peh”): Hapé is a powerful, cleansing snuff used as part of important medicinal rituals by the native people of the Amazon Rainforest. This medicinal mix of tobacco, herbs and ashes helps focus and sharpen the mind, and can act as a clearing agent for distracting energies in preparation for intention setting. Hapé clears sinuses of mucus and bacteria, thereby helping to combat colds and respiratory ailments. It provides a calming, grounding effect on the emotions that last much longer than the initial sensation.
