Making time for sacred practices by working with an altar is a powerful way to awaken the dormant spirit within ourselves and the world around us. It helps us to re-connect back into oneness and see the world as a sacred place.
Join Mexica elders Yolanda Porcayo and Lupita Lare Tovar on Tuesday, October 8th, to learn about tools to create your own sacred space. As the Day of the Dead approaches, we will learn how to create an altar to remember and honor our families and our ancestors.
Visiting us from Mexico, Yolanda Porcayo Palma and Guadalupe (Lupita) Lare Tovar carry the wisdom and healing of the MEXICA traditions. They are traditional medicine women, herbalists, acupuncturists, and massage therapists of Nahuatl tradition, as well as practitioners of Emotional Release "Hand on Healing". These modalities have been used and passed down from generation to generation, to cure physical sickness, maintain health and restore the ethereal field. Both Yolanda and Lupita have been studying with numerous teachers and have been walking the path for more than 20 years.
