Sacred Song School welcomes Davi and Yara from the Umbanda traditions of Brazil! Davi and Yara will help us to channel our inner healing spirit by guiding us to dance with the support of atabaque drumming, and the devotional chants to the Amazonian and African deities. They will share their unique tradition of Brazilian Umbanda which combines African and European spiritual practices with native Amazonian plant medicines.

With reverence and respect to the original peoples and their ancestral language, the mission of the sacred song school is to learn from one another and embrace what makes each culture a unique treasure to humanity. Like beautiful birds living in one forest, we admire their differences and celebrate what makes each one so special and colorful. With that enthusiasm and love, we invite in the sacred songs of the earth to be shared at the Golden Drum.
Music is one of the deepest forms of prayer and healing that we carry with us throughout our lives. To learn, carry and sing a sacred song is an ability we all have, we simply need to tap into it. We invite you to tap into your own ability to welcome sacred song as a study, practice and way of prayer and expression. Each class will focus on a selection of songs, where we will learn the pronunciation, translation, and intention of the songs, as well as covering the melodic and rhythmic structure of singing the song or chant.

Yara Yaworâ has walked the spiritual path since her birth, through the line of Umbanda, into which she was born. From a young age, she connected with drum medicine, becoming Ogã of an Umbanda temple, which was where she grew and developed for 14 years. During this journey she received an in-depth study on the sacred Atabaque drum, and today she teaches classes/courses called LUASOL-Drum Medicine, A Path to Self-Mastery.
Davi De Paules grew up in the Amazon studying and practicing the indigenous healing traditions of his rich blend of African, European , and native heritage.. He is well known in Acre as a master healer of many medicines including Daime, and Kambo among many others. Davi has recently started a project called Daime Eterno in response to the unfolding crises in the Amazon and is currently buying land to cultivate native plant medicine and teach the local people more sustainable ways of making a living in the forest. He and his niece Yara are here to raise awareness and gather support for this crucial effort.
In deep studies with Forest Medicines, she received a call to continue walking with other lines of study, such as Ancestral Shamanism and Christic Shamanism, Santo Daime, Hinduism, among others that are in development. Over time, within her maturity, strengthening and spiritual permission, she develops Shamanic Experiences of self-knowledge together with her Mother Ananda in their space - Portal 9 Flor das Águas (Goiânia, Brazil), with the Sacred Medicines of the Forest and other tools, therapies, crystals, arts, music, percussion classes, work with women, children, etc...
Davi and Yara invite all those who are interested in delving deeper into the mysteries of native knowledge of Brazilian culture and other cultures they study, such as the Umbanda, Vedic Hinduism, Santo Daime, Ancestral Shamanism and Christic Shamanism and Spirituality Universalist.
