Shamanic Reiki is a very gentle and intuitive way to meet your inner healer.
In this workshop you will receive an introduction into shamanic healing and Reiki, the nature of the light body, the 7 main chakras, and how to connect with the universal life energy that allows healing to happen.
Shamanic Reiki is a practice that combines the wisdom of the shamanic traditions with the techniques of Reiki. It is beautiful way to awaken and develop your healing abilities, even if you have already received your Reiki 1 attunement elsewhere. Shamanic Reiki focuses on building our relationship to the energy of healing within a shamanic framework.
Brooke, Leona, and Nicole are all students of Maestro Manuel Rufino, elder and guide of the Golden Drum community where they have been studying Shamanic Healing practices. We are very grateful to be integrating some of the teachings passed to us to create a well-rounded Reiki Healing Course.
In Shamanic Reiki Level I you will learn:
- The history & the 5 Principles of Reiki
- How to treat yourself with Reiki
- How to identify and remove energy blocks
- How to approach self-healing
- Introduction to the 4-elements and the Medicine Wheel
- How to build and activate an altar for healing
- How to begin to work with sacred herbs for smudging.
Reiki induces deep relaxation, activates the parasympathetic nervous system, and helps the body and mind release tension, stress, and anxiety.
Deep healing occurs once the relaxation response comes online, and while seeing other healers and going to workshops and classes is very enriching, no healing is more profound than the one you can give to yourself.
Upon completion of the course you will receive a Shamanic Reiki Level 1 Attunement and Certificate from the Usui System of Natural Healing.
Tea and fruit will be provided.
We will have a 45 minute break for lunch. You can bring your own, or we are just a block away from the Jungle Cafe.
Please bring your notebooks and writing tools and any offerings or items to charge on the Altar through our training.

Teacher Bios:
Brooke Hamre Gillespie is a Reiki Master, Sound Healer, Pleiadian Lightworker, and Shamanic Healer who has been practicing healing techniques for over 14 years. She is dedicated to learning, honoring and sharing the teachings of the sacred traditions of humanity and the Aquarian Age through healing, music and art. She is an active member of the Golden Drum community and a student of Maestro Manuel Rufino learning traditional native healing ways. She is available for private Reiki, Shamanic Healing and Sound Healing sessions as well as trainings in the NYC area and anywhere in the world.
Leona Walker is a Reiki Master who has been practicing Reiki for over 16 years. Leona Walker is a healer and artist of the Aquarian Age. She works with sacred geometry and symbols including the Flower of Life in a unique style through paintings and other visual media. She is an active member of Golden Drum and a student of Maestro Manuel Rufino learning traditional native healing ways. Leona is available for private Reiki healing sessions in the NYC area and Pennsylvania.
Nicole Adriana Casanova is a 200 RYT Yoga Alliance certified, a certified Reiki Master in the Usui and Karuna Reiki Riojo, a Human Movement and Meditation teacher, and Magical Awakening Practitioner. Nicole blends decades of expertise in the wellness and holistic field to create one of a kind empowerment experiences in groups as well as one-on-one settings. As a soul architect, Nicole bridges practices from various wisdom traditions with intuitive knowledge and practical know how to create one of a kind blueprints of empowerment, healing, and transformation.
