We are very happy to welcome Drukmo Gyal from Tibet and Adrian DiMatteo from New York to Golden Drum on March 11th for all of us to experience beautiful Mantra Meditation and the spiritual sound of music.

Mantra means mind protection. Drukmo Gyal is from the Northeastern part of Tibet - from a yogi family where mantra, yoga, and meditation were shared through her family lineage. With support from the Tibetan yogi community, Drukmo Gyal has practiced mantras with ancient melodies. She began singing publicly in 2008, and achieved top 40 in a Chinese national singing contest in 2010, but due to her university studies drew back from a possible singing career. She went to Europe in 2014, published her first album “Purification Voice Of Tibet” in Spain (2015), and started touring European countries, Russia, Malaysia, and China with local musicians, not only in concert halls but also in hospitals, disability centers, and senior homes.

Her second album “Tibetan Mantra Healing” was released in April 2016 and is an ancient healing system the belongs to Traditional Tibetan Medicine. She has studied Traditional Tibetan Medicine with Dr. Nida Chenagtsang and teaches the Tibetan art of mantra healing all over the world.

Adrian DiMatteo is a guitarist, singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist from New York. He received formal training in jazz performance, music theory, and history from the Eastman School of Music. Now he studies sacred songs and mantras from around the world, and the science of sound healing. He recently developed Guitar Handbook, a chord learning app for aspiring guitarists of all levels. He also teaches music and practices music therapy.
