Sonadora is a workshop on sacred shamanic sound. It is about tuning into subtle vibrations and learning how to heal with sacred sound and vibrations. Sacred shamanic sound is an ancient science that is for healing and consciousness and is based on vibration, frequency and intention or focus. In this workshop series we will focus on listening, awareness, intention and intuition as we learn sound healing techniques, awaken to the inner voice and intuitive energies. We will focus on opening the voice through vocal exercises, sacred mantras, indigenous songs and chants and creating sacred sound through shamanic sacred sound healing instruments. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sound healing instruments to work with but there will be crystal singing bowls and other instruments available. It is recommended to bring your own instrument so that you can begin to develop a deeper relationship with it and learn how to work with it. Brooke Hamre Gillespie

Brooke has been working with sound her entire life. She is actively involved with the Golden Drum, a cultural community center in Brooklyn, a member of the Initiatic College, and a student of Maestro Manuel Rufino learning the traditional Native American healing ways and sacred wisdom traditions and is a founder of Dream Seed, the shamanic sound journey collective. 

Brooke has had the blessing to study with master sound healer and instrument maker Tito La Rosa from Peru for the last few years in New York and Poland. This past year at the Heart & Mind Festivals in Poland, Brooke had the opportunity to accompany Tito La Rosa during one of his public sound healing concerts. She is planning to continue her deerper study of shamanic sound with him in Peru. 

Brooke is a visionary sound healer, composer, song-writer and song carrier of sacred songs from all over the world including Native American songs from South, Central, and North America, Tibetan and Sanskrit mantra, African songs and more. Brooke is a gifted energy and sound healer, Pleiadian Lightworker and Reiki Master and she also is a recording engineer and producer. She believes in sound and music as universal methods of healing and a language of universal peace. She is currently working on recording the first release of her new shamanic prayerformance band, Pink Sun.
